Parkhead Youth Project Forest School
Parkhead Youth Project have been delivering forest school sessions in partnership with Operation Play Outdoors for many years now in the heart of Parkhead. Our sessions are delivered during term time, and usually on Monday nights from 4-6pm, however our time and date is sometimes adapted to accommodate other programmes. The forest school sessions are open to young people of all ages, and children are free to come and go as they please, whether it be passing through on their way home from school to build a den, or coming along with their parent to toast some marshmallows and build a treehouse. Our sessions are young person centred, and we provide a range of activities each week as requested by the young people including, Den Building, Fire Skills and Outdoor Cooking, Tool Use, Arts and Crafts as well as a wide range of games. The sessions are lead by experienced staff who oversee the safety of the session but ensure they don't interfere with the amazing free play experiences on offer. Keep an eye out for our future programmes.
